Diagnostic Imaging

Alberta Netcare EHR Portal is working to enable an infrastructure of medical devices and information systems to contribute Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Reports and DI Digital Images to regional Diagnostic Imaging repositories. Once integrated with the Alberta Netcare EHR Portal, this a timely and accurate view of the patient's DI results to health service providers.   This work will make available DI reports first and then DI Digital images such as X-ray and MRI scans through the Alberta Netcare EHR Portal. This will lead to faster diagnosis, fewer duplicate tests and easier access to results for all providers. Diagnostic Imaging Reports Currently approximately 90% of DI reports on DI tests are available through Alberta Netcare EHR Portal. Diagnostic Imaging Digital Images Images are currently available in some parts of Alberta. Work is continuing to make full image display available through Alberta Netcare Portal across the Province.
