eReferral

eReferral

eReferral allows physicians and clinical support staff the ability to create, submit, track and manage referrals electronically through Alberta Netcare. Through eReferral, you can instantly track and communicate referral status’ as they are received, triaged and booked.

eReferral launched in 2014 with three early adopter groups – Orthopaedic Surgery – Hip & Knee Joint Replacement, Oncology – Breast Cancer and Oncology – Lung Cancer - and since then has grown to include more than 40 specialty groups across Alberta. For more information about the specialties and reasons for referral available, click here.

To help you use eReferral more effectively, please use the training materials below:

  • eReferral Quick References: Short illustrated instructions that tell you, step-by-step, how to complete key tasks in eReferral.
  • eReferral eDemos: Short videos that show you how to use certain eReferral functions. Please note: We are in the process of updating these videos and new versions will be available soon.
  • eReferral User Guide: An in-depth resource providing information about all areas of eReferral.
