The Electronic Referral (eReferral) solution is designed to replace the current paper and fax based referral processes.  eReferral offers Alberta Netcare users the ability to create, submit, track and manage referrals in real time throughout the referral process.  At all stages in the referral life cycle, any health care professional associated with a referral can track its status and view its details.

eReferral leverages existing information from Alberta Netcare (such as demographics, labs, and diagnostic imaging) into a referral form.  The referring provider can submit an advice request for a non-urgent question or seek recommendations for further specialty
related treatment.  The referring provider can submit a consult request when an in person appointment is required for the patient.

There are three Notifications User Group:

eReferral Referrer

eReferral Receiver and

eReferral Triage
