Cancer Screening

As of January 2018, a new Cancer Screening Status Report identifying a person’s breast, cervical and/or colorectal cancer screening status will be available in the Alberta Netcare Portal.

Authorized users will be able to view their patients’ cancer screening status in a single report. This report is a new clinical decision support tool, intended to assist healthcare providers in determining what, if any, action needs to be taken to get their patients up to date on their cancer screening, in accordance with the Alberta Clinical Practice Guidelines (http://www.topalbertadoctors.org/cpgs/).

Access to this report provides an opportunity for quality improvement in cancer screening in Alberta, helping to save lives.
