Connect Care Provider Portal (CCPP) via Alberta Netcare Portal (ANP)

The Connect Care Provider Portal (CCPP) is a secure online platform developed by Alberta Health Services (AHS) to enhance continuity of care by providing healthcare providers with access to their patients' health information within the Connect Care system.

Access to the CCPP is integrated within the Alberta Netcare Portal (ANP), enabling authorized users to seamlessly transition between systems. To launch the CCPP from within ANP:

Step 1 - CCPP Access Agreement and Epic Addendum

The CCPP Access Agreement is a legal contract between Alberta Health Services (AHS) and individual Custodians in private practice. It outlines your responsibilities for accessing the CCPP securely and in compliance with privacy standards. The Epic Addendum includes specific terms related to the Epic system.

Action: Review, sign, and submit the CCPP Access Agreement and Epic Addendum. Contact eHealth Services at eHealthPrivacy@gov.ab.ca to obtain your personalized CCPP Access Agreement and Epic Addendum.

Note: Due to licensing and contractual restrictions, this agreement is not available for direct download.

Step 2 - AHS CCPP Privacy Security Self-Assessment and Certification

This self-assessment helps you evaluate your clinic’s compliance with privacy and security requirements necessary for CCPP access.

Action: Complete the Privacy & Security Self-Assessment and keep a copy for your records.

Step 3 - PIA Endorsement Letter

The Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Endorsement Letter confirms your commitment to protecting patient information and aligns with Alberta Health privacy standards.

Action: Obtain the signed PIA Endorsement Letter and submit it as part of your onboarding.

Step 4 - CCPP - Auditing Process FAQ

Auditing ensures all CCPP users comply with privacy and security policies by monitoring system access and activity.

Action: Review auditing responsibilities and ensure ongoing compliance.

Step 5 – Access Request via AHS IAM & Training

Request access for yourself and staff through the AHS Identity and Access Management (IAM) system. Completion of mandatory CCPP training is required before access is granted.

Action: Submit access requests through AHS IAM and complete required training

Step 6 - Completion of CCPP Training via AHS MyLearning Link

Users must complete required training modules via the AHS MyLearning platform to understand system use and privacy requirements.

Action: Complete all assigned CCPP training modules via MyLearning.

Step 7 – Email Notification to User and Netcare Authorized Approver upon Training Completion

Both the user and Netcare AA receive an email confirming training completion.

Action: Monitor email notifications to confirm training status.

Step 8 – User Login to ANP and Access to CCPP Tab

After completing training and access requests, users can log into ANP and access the CCPP tab to begin using the portal.

Action: Log in to ANP and verify access to the CCPP tab.
